Wilkes-Barre Machine

Since 1960, when it began machining parts for the cigar industry, Wilkes-Barre has grown into a specialized provider of advanced technology solutions for complex aero-engine components. The facility produced its first parts for Pratt & Whitney in 1966, and by 1979 had received its first order from GE Aircraft Engines — the start of an aerospace machining focus that continues to define the plant today.

The facility has operated under a series of aerospace and industrial parents over the decades. Precision Castparts Corp. acquired the facility in 2013, bringing it into the Wyman-Gordon family.
